About the School
The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is a highly successful and oversubscribed Roman Catholic comprehensive school for boys, with a pan-London intake and mixed Sixth Form (roll 990; mixed Sixth Form of 390). It was graded outstanding in its most recent Ofsted report and has a long track-record of high performance in public examinations: in 2016, 50% of all GCSE grades were A* or A, with a P8 score of 0.43 (putting it in the top 10% of state schools for that measure), and 83% of A-Level grades were at A* – B.
Conveniently located halfway between Shepherd’s Bush and Holland Park tube stations, the Vaughan is situated within the leafy surroundings of London’s prestigious Holland Park and is within easy walking distance of Holland Park gardens, Westfield shopping centre and nearby Notting Hill. Both stations are served by the Central Line, with Shepherd’s Bush Overground also running trains to Clapham Junction every ten minutes.
