St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy is an exciting place for our students to grow and develop, building an enriching love of learning and a spiritual outlook that they will carry with them through life. We are an oversubscribed, smaller than average Catholic Secondary school of 600 pupils located in Glossop, Derbyshire. In a recent Ofsted Inspection, the Academy was judged to be ‘Good’ in all areas.

Through a three – way partnership between home, school and parish we aim to work as a team to ensure our children achieve their potential. We believe that a happy child is a fulfilled child and therefore our strong pastoral system is of key importance to us. Our Catholic faith underpins everything that we do and ensures that our pupils are well rounded, confident young people with increasingly high aspirations. We are on an  exciting journey at TeamSPH, we firmly believe that by working together all our pupils will have a bright future ahead.

You will be responsible for:

Working as part of a team to supervise pupils and the school premises during the lunchtime break

Promoting pupils’ independence, inclusion and cooperation

Maintaining the safety and welfare of pupils at lunchtime

What are we looking for?

If you enjoy working with children and you are a great communicator then we want to hear from you.  The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative to respond appropriately to the needs of pupils and support pupils to eat their meals and have a safe and enjoyable lunch break.

The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to satisfactory references, which will be requested, prior to interview, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, medical check, evidence of qualifications plus verification of the right to work in the UK.

Please note that the closing date may be brought forward depending upon interest.
