Newcastle Sixth Form College is an aspirational and inclusive community dedicated to helping young people fulfil their potential. Students thrive in a culture of mutual respect, increased independence, and high expectations. Over 300 students progressed to university from NSFC last year, with many of them the first members of their family to do so.

Key responsibilities
You will lead the Admissions and Marketing team, managing colleagues and resources effectively to ensure new student recruitment targets are met. You will analyse data rigorously to ensure that marketing activities are effectively evaluated and accurate forecasts are provided to the Senior Leadership Team. You will be a ‘player manager’ who takes a key role in the day to day work of the Admissions and Marketing department, organising and attending outreach events, speaking to applicants and their families, as well as coordinating the college’s digital and print marketing activities. You will work closely with other colleagues and students to ensure that the Admissions and Marketing team effectively promote the strengths of the college to potential applicants.

Who we are looking for
You will be a highly motivated, outcomes focussed individual who is able to combine strategic thinking with an ability to roll up your sleeves to take an active part in the day to day work of promoting the Sixth Form to potential applicants. You will have experience of achieving challenging targets in a previous marketing role. You will be an inspirational and hardworking leader who believes in the transformative power of education. You will be a confident communicator who is equally comfortable whether speaking to 16-18 year olds, parents, or teachers. You will have knowledge and experience of both digital and traditional marketing and of how to evaluate impact. You will be an ambitious individual who will use the considerable autonomy of this role to develop your own skills, experience and expertise.

Newcastle Sixth Form College

Established in 2013, Newcastle Sixth Form College  focuses on academic qualifications with an emphasis on providing students with the qualifications they need to progress to University.

NSFC attracts students from over 100 schools from Newcastle and across the North East to access our dedicated facilities and broad A Level offer, with 27 subjects available to study.

Our students choose NSFC for our inclusive approach. They welcome the opportunity to study subject combinations that allow them to progress, in an environment which bridges the gap between school and university. We have also developed a strong ‘respect’ ethos within the college and student feedback indicates that they feel safe and supported regardless of their background, gender or other characteristics; this is because we strongly maintain that there should be no barrier to success at NSFC.

As well as expert A Level tuition we have an enrichment offer of over 40 activities designed to socially and physically develop our students and help prepare them for their next step.

We are active members of both the Association of Colleges and the Sixth Form Colleges Association.
