About Newcastle Sixth Form College

Newcastle Sixth Form College

Established in 2013, Newcastle Sixth Form College  focuses on academic qualifications with an emphasis on providing students with the qualifications they need to progress to University.

NSFC attracts students from over 100 schools from Newcastle and across the North East to access our dedicated facilities and broad A Level offer.

Our students choose NSFC for our inclusive approach. They welcome the opportunity to study subject combinations that allow them to progress, in an environment which bridges the gap between school and university. We have also developed a strong ‘respect’ ethos within the college and student feedback indicates that they feel safe and supported regardless of their background, gender or other characteristics; this is because we strongly maintain that there should be no barrier to success at NSFC. Given all of these things it is not surprising that over 90% of our students would recommend the college to a friend.

As well as expert A Level tuition we have an enrichment offer of over 30 activities designed to socially and physically develop our students and help prepare them for their next step.

We are active members of both the Association of Colleges and the Sixth Form Colleges Association.

What people say about us

NSFC acts as a stepping stone between school and university, giving me the chance to practice independent work and research, but still within a supportive and caring environment.

- Lucy was ready for more independence after school and chose Newcastle Sixth Form College as she felt that it offered the chance to study A Levels within a more adult environment.
