About the Role
Philip Morant is a popular mixed comprehensive in north-east Essex. It is a happy
school in which students feel nurtured, achieve highly and are well prepared for the
next stage of their education, training or work. We have made significant progress
since our last Ofsted inspection, including three sets of fantastic examination results.
Over the last three years students have performed well, with more students
achieving strong passes (grade 5+) in both English and Maths.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational two Intervention Tutors
to deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions in Maths and English. The tutors will be
responsible for planning, delivering and assessing with guidance from the Maths and
English departments. The successful candidate will have excellent mathematical or
English skills and subject knowledge to support students from Years 7 to 11. This is
an ideal opportunity for a post-graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in teaching.
Ideally we would like to appoint full-time tutors; however, we would consider part-time appointments.
You will join an energetic school which strives to ensure that all students enjoy learning and surpass expectations of achievement.
Please state on the application form if you are applying for the Maths Intervention Tutor or the English Intervention Tutor.
Please feel free to contact email@example.com if you have any questions.
