NQT Teacher of Humanities (Religious Studies preferred but all specialisms considered)

Harris Church of England Academy is a rapidly improving, over-subscribed Church Academy based in Rugby and is part of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust.

As we continue to improve, opportunities to join us on our vision occasionally emerge.

If you are committed to the education of the child with Christian values, rather than just for results, we would love you to join our family.

A recent Ofsted report stated “This is now an improving school. Stronger senior leadership, since the current headteacher’s arrival, has improved behaviour, attendance and the quality of teaching. The school’s staff are united and committed to seeing the school continue to improve. Morale is high.”

English and Math results for summer 2017 were above national average.

As part of our statutory obligation to support colleagues new to teaching, NQTs are offered a full induction programme, including weekly mentoring sessions, opportunities to observe colleagues and visits to local feeder schools. Our programme has been quality assured and praised by a national awarding body for the level of scrutiny and support offered throughout the NQT process. NQT loading is 19 hours teaching a week in the first year.

Are you:

  • Passionate about Church School Education?
  • Motivated to lead others to success?
  • Well organised with a track record of achieving targets?
  • Enthused and well informed about the subject?

Do you:

  • Want to enable students to access their potential?
  • Share the joy of learning?
