By offering a curriculum that is broad and balanced, and recognises the importance of a strong academic provision coupled with sport and the arts, this makes us well placed to offer the best educational provision for our students. With academies situated in Darlaston, Coventry and Solihull, the Grace Family is built on an ethos, embodied in our core values of: Grace, Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Potential.

As well as a strong emphasis on academic and examination achievement, an extensive choice of extra-curricular and enrichment activities, such as PGL and Duke of Edinburgh, give students the chance to explore their creativity, or acquire a qualification that will impress future employers.

Students are encouraged to work hard, be punctual and show respect for each other, the staff and our community. In addition, we expect the highest standards of dress and behaviour in all areas of academy life. We have high expectations of all our young people, and aim to raise their aspirations and provide a unique and challenging learning experience both academically and socially.

Our pastoral system also helps to promote a harmonious atmosphere and a strong sense of community, this is further supported with our commitment to the restorative justice programme which allows all students to have a voice and talk through their feelings and actions.

An increasing number of students continue their learning journey in our vibrant Sixth Form, which also attracts young people from the wider community. Students can study exciting A-level subjects, specialised work related courses or a combination of the two. Our aim is to provide students with the tools they need to progress successfully to university, apprenticeships, further training or high quality employment.

Ofsted

“Leaders at Grace Academy Solihull put pupils at the heart of everything they do. Pupils say that staff value them and notice when they need help. Staff have high expectations of pupils, and pupils work hard to meet these expectations. Pupils welcome the pastoral support they receive and say they feel safe”.

We are focused on ensuring that students receive the best education to enhance their life chances. Our hard work and progress is recognised fully in the latest OFSTED judgment the Academy has now received. The Academy was judged as GOOD overall in our most recent inspection in May 2022

This is a well-deserved judgement and an accurate reflection of the Academy’s progress to date. The report highlights the balance we have strived to achieve through outstanding examination results and the equally important support, welfare and care we have for individual students. This is comparable with any high performing school or Academy nationally, but our commitment to further improve and enhance what we offer as an Academy continues.
