The Old Vicarage School is a family-run, independent, preparatory day school for boys and girls in the beautiful suburb of Darley Abbey, Derby. Children age from 3 – 11 years old with 120 on roll. We are looking to appoint an experienced Teacher who can inspire, engage and motivate children to reach their full potential. You will be planning and delivering Coding lessons to a group of Key Stage 1 children on Tuesdays and Science lessons to a group of Key Stage 2 children on Thursdays.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person, who has a clear understanding of planning and evaluating as appropriate, a curriculum which raises achievement for all children. You must have up to date knowledge of effective practice and of Coding and Science within the primary curriculum and the need for good record keeping and assessment. Familiarity with IT software including MS Teams and PowerPoint would be an advantage.
You will be required to be on school site for the times below each week during term time.
Each Tuesday of term, from 12.15pm – 4.15pm.
Each Thursday of term, from 1.00pm – 5.00pm

The Old Vicarage School is a mixed, non-denominational, independent nursery and preparatory school situated in Derby, Derbyshire. The school has approximately 130 pupils, ranging from 3 to 11 years old.
The school was founded in 1933 in a Victorian former vicarage. In 2007, the current proprietors, Matthew & Jenny Adshead, bought the school and run it as a family business.
