1 x 15 hours per week 11:50 – 14:50 (Monday – Friday)
2 x 8 hours per week 11:15 – 15:15 (Thursday & Friday)
We are seeking personal care assistants who have experience of working with children and young people, to join a fabulous and hard-working team of personal care assistant at our school.
St. Giles is a friendly and aspirational school for children and young people aged 3-18 with a broad range of difficulties from moderate/severe to profound and multiple, which includes those with autism and associated behaviours. We are situated in the market town of Retford and our school serves the whole of the Bassetlaw area, which is the most northerly district of Nottinghamshire.
The successful applicants will be supporting pupils of all ages throughout school alongside our existing teams of Personal Care Assistants, Teaching Assistants and Health Care Assistants.
The role includes supporting pupils with their personal and intimate care, including; eating and feeding, postural care, moving & handling and therapy programmes, with care and dignity. Some pupils may require some classroom support.
St Giles School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. Checks will also be made with previous employers.
