We are currently seeking a motivated Premises Manager to join our team at Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust in the Birmingham area.
Main responsibilities include:
- Acting as the lead person to ensure the day-to-day, routine and non-routine use of the buildings, preparing them for use (e.g. movement of furniture and equipment), including external functions
- Taking delivery of stores, materials, etc., storing them securely and arranging for the internal transport of goods to their designated location
- Ensuring heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated, making adjustments as necessary, and reporting defects and malfunctions to the Trust Estates and Facilities Manager
- Being responsible for the efficient operation of the academy’s utilities and services – gas, water, electricity, lighting, heating, drainage and ancillary equipment, paying due regard to frost precautions
- Taking immediate appropriate action in the event of a major incident, e.g. fire, flood, gas escape, breaking and entering, or other major incident involving the emergency services
- Providing efficient and effective support to the academy, ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards
