KTJ is an independent, co-educational school for 950 students aged 3 – 19. KTJ’s Primary Day School follows both the British National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum while the Secondary Boarding School, modelled on a British style education, offers IGCSE and A levels.
KTJ is seeking an excellent Primary EAL teacher to provide high-quality, challenging and fun lessons to EAL learners. In addition to teaching lessons, this role will involve working alongside classroom and subject teachers in order to ensure robust support for EAL learners across the curriculum. KTJ is an intercultural community where teachers take pride in developing the very best in every student, and value close collaboration with colleagues to meet the needs of all students.
Candidates should be above 22 years old (in keeping with Malaysian visa laws), be highly competent in the use of ICT and have at least 2 years’ EAL teaching experience in contexts that prioritise student-centred learning. The EAL teacher will:

- Demonstrate a variety of teaching methodologies;
- Differentiate according to individual student needs;
- Communicate clearly, accurately and sensitively;

- Use assessment to inform teaching and learning;
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness.

Our accreditations
In 2025, KTJ was once again awarded the Council of International Schools (CIS) International Accreditation. This accreditation involves a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation process, assessing the institution's adherence to internationally recognised standards and offering recommendations for ongoing development. KTJ exceeded standards in seven out of eight Boarding evaluation areas, including accommodation, food, healthcare, school life, overall wellbeing, parent communication, and safeguarding. KTJ has been a CIS accredited school for 15 years.
