Hyde Tutoring is looking for more primary school tutors in Balham, Clapham and surrounding areas.
What the roles will entail:
- Potential roles will be out of school hours.
- Lessons will be taught at children's homes and sometimes online.
- The purpose of the lessons is to support children who are struggling to keep up at school; extend very bright students beyond what they are doing in the classroom; prepare children for entrance exams for selective schools.
The ideal candidate:
- Someone who teaches in a primary or prep school/ be an ex school teacher or a full time tutor.
- Must have experience working with primary school aged students.
- Ideally experience teaching children for entrance exams (although so this is not essential).
- SEN teachers are needed for our SEN students. We have many students with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, delayed processing etc.
- Someone who lives fairly locally.

Hyde Tutoring is based in Clapham; we teach children all over London, in other parts of the U.K. and even as far away as Hong Kong!
The agency was founded by Charlotte Hyde. After many years as a successful tutor, she was inundated with demand, purely through word of mouth. To meet this demand, she sourced other tutors who she was confident would teach to the same high level.
At Hyde Tutoring we have an extremely strong reputation for preparing children for the most competitive entrance exams. We have tutored children for schools such as Westminster, St Paul’s, and King’s College Wimbledon. Many of the children now at those schools were prepared by one of our tutors!
Our tutors are flexible, they can travel to your home, teach at their own homes or online via platforms such as Zoom and Skype.
Charlotte believes it is key that tutoring programmes are individually tailored to each student’s educational needs to ensure success.
We know that all children learn differently, therefore every child's tuition programme is catered to their personal needs, to ensure that they achieve the highest possible standards.

Hyde Tutoring is made up of a group of really exceptional tutors. We have tutors who tutor full time, tutors who also work in schools and those that work with children who are currently out of mainstream school. Our tutors are from a range of teaching and academic backgrounds, but what connects everyone in the team is their passion for teaching and their ability to bring their chosen subject to life for the children they are teaching.
We teach children aged from 4 to 18 in all subjects, however, English and maths are the most popular subjects. We cover the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to Wimbledon, but South-West London is where we’re based and therefore our focal area.
