St Francis Catholic Primary School, Ayr is a Catholic co-educational school located in the town of Ayr in the Burdekin region. The school has 236 students from Prep to Year 6. The school is one of three Catholic schools that serve the Burdekin communities and is inspired by the motto, “Christ and Knowledge”. Established by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in 1912, St Francis School remains committed to celebrating the message of Jesus Christ whilst providing educational excellence in teaching and learning. About the role

St Francis Catholic Primary School, Ayr is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teachers. These roles are full time, fixed term positions commencing Term 1, 2023 for the duration of the 2023 teaching year.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
