Job overview

Strode College is a tertiary college in Street, Somerset. Strode College has a turnover of c.£12 million and is one of the largest employers in the area.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a successful and ambitious tertiary college focused on the achievements and wellbeing of our students and the community we serve. Strode College has enjoyed a period of sustained success, with the highest possible outcomes in both an Ofsted monitoring visit and Higher Education review in May 2012, culminating in being graded as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in September 2014. The college nursery was also graded as outstanding in May 2015.

Our Principal James Staniforth is now moving on to become the CEO of the Shrewsbury Colleges Group and the Board of Governors is seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated Principal to take Strode to the next level.

Potential applicants are welcome to discuss the post in confidence with the current Principal, please telephone the Principal’s PA on 01458 844402 to arrange a suitable time.
