About City of London Academy Islington

City of London Academy Islington is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in North London. It is supported by the single-academy trust City of London Academy Islington Limited and sponsored by the City of London Corporation. A smaller than average-sized secondary, it will provide 805 places for secondary and sixth-form students aged 11-18, when fully subscribed.

The academy opened in 2008 with the intention of providing excellent opportunities and education for all.

City of London Academy Islington believes that academic success is achievable only when students enjoy being at school. Its vertical house system groups together students from Years 7 through to 13, adding to the family atmosphere the school is seeking to create.
