Owned by QatarEnergy-LNG, the world’s largest producer of liquefied natural gas, AKIS caters for the children of the company’s employees. We are one of the largest international schools in the Middle East with approximately 4,000 students across our British and CBSE curriculum schools. The school has exceptional facilities and is located in Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar’s capital city Doha.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a proactive individual who will assist in the operations of Procurement & store activities in accordance with our School’s established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Coordinating the receipt of good in AKIS holding areas, coordinate deliveries from Suppliers, maintaining procurement & store records. assist in answering queries on procurement & stores operations, standing in for procurement officers on leave (Hence some knowledge of SAP), coordinating, prepare GRN.

Skills and qualities:

  • Diploma in Management or equivalent (three years University degree)
  • To possess some knowledge of Procurement SAP, Material Management.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in procurement, stores and admin related role
  • Report writing skills
  • Understanding of warehouse policies, procedures and work methods

The Role:

  • Contribute to the development of relevant procurement policies, systems, process, material ordering templates and procedures in order to ensure quality and consistency of activities, in line with procedural and labor requirements
  • Scan and purchase order and other relevant documents to suppliers
  • Administrative support and coordinate the filing of all procurement related documents.
  • Liaise with the procurement officer for service completion approvals obtain signed goods received note.
  • Facilitate the delivery of resources to end user.
  • Updating and maintaining supplier database.
  • Assist the Procurement & Stores officer in the preparation of, analytical / statistical reports on regular basis with regard to inventory count and material consumption

About Al Khor International School

Owned by QatarEnergy LNG– one of the largest natural gas-producing companies in the world, AKIS was established to cater primarily for the children of its employees. The school is located in Al Khor Community, approximately 40Km north of Doha.

A co-educational and non-selective school, AKIS offers the following provision to students from Kindergarten through to Post 16 (3-18 years of age):
