About the role
To make sure we attract the best talent, the HR team is looking for a Recruitment Manager who will be responsible for ensuring we make the right hires in a timely way, building on the Tes brand externally and focusing on getting a good balance between direct and agency hires.
The successful candidate will work closely with our recruiting managers to manage sourcing, interviewing and employment processes. Ultimately, providing recruiting managers with the frameworks, tools and processes to manage our recruitment to ensure we hire the best-qualified employees to meet our company’s current and future needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Operational
· Develop a direct sourcing model which attracts the right talent to Tes through the right channels, is cost effective and supports the Tes brand
· Develop a PSL and manage agency relationships on behalf of the organisation
· Update current and design new recruiting procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes)
· Develop and provide recruitment selection metrics and reports to the Group HR Director monthly. Keep track of recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, short term retention, engagement etc.)
· Identify appropriate recruitment pools (internally and externally) for regularly vacant roles and procure accordingly
· Implement new sourcing and job advertising methods, including social media (e.g. social recruiting and Boolean searches)
· Coordinate with department managers to forecast future hiring needs and develop resourcing plans
Projects
· Create a direct hire model to facilitate a reduction in spend year on year for at least the first three years
· Support and drive the social media recruitment strategy
· Support multiple role & team recruitment for new products and new territories. In the immediate term support recruitment of multiple new roles in Sheffield to defined deadlines, ensuring quality candidates and robust selection.
· Enhance the user experience for the Tes Global Careers web page, growing and developing content to reflect our employer brand and attract talent

Who you are:
Along with proven work experience as a Recruitment Manager or Recruitment Consultant, to be successful in this role, our Recruitment Manager should have an academic background in HR and experience screening and evaluating candidates. Candidates should also be knowledgeable about legislation and best practice recruitment and selection processes and procedures. With an ability to build quality relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, the ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about search and selection, is able to make effective decisions quickly and is someone who can support in a vibrant digital environment.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Recruitment Manager, or Recruitment Consultant
- You will have experience managing internal relationships accompanied by a strong record of operating in a mixed technical and commercial market.
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases
- Knowledge of employment legislation
- Experience of developing new sourcing models and selection processes
- Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
- Familiarity with social media and other professional networks (like GitHub)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
Additional desirable requirements
- BSc in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology
- Experience of working in a digital or high tech environment
- Experience of sourcing candidates and recruiting internationally
