St Joseph's Primary School - Coraki Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the following position: School Counsellor This position will be part time, 1 day a week for three 3 years. Commencing as soon as possible St Joseph's endeavour to offer a contemporary learning environment which supports the learning needs of all students. Learning is engaging; promotes critical and creative thinking; and is purposeful. The learning opportunities provided by staff are carefully planned and designed to cater for the individual needs of each student and aim to promote student growth. St Joseph's operates around strong partnerships that are valued between parish, parents, staff and students. It is these strong ties that help each child feel safe and special within our school community. The role of the School Counsellor is to support and assist school teams to better understand and manage student mental health issues with a view to improving student outcomes. As a School Counsellor, you will be an integral part of a school's pastoral care support and will work with students, families, school staff and external agencies to maximise educational and wellbeing outcomes for students.
