Job overview
Exeter School is the leading co-educational day school in the Southwest, educating over 930 pupils aged 7-18. An HMC and IAPS school, situated on a 25-acre site near the city centre, our strong links to the local community, well-established pastoral care systems and fantastic teaching enable us to challenge, inspire and deliver the very best learning to our pupils.
We are looking to appoint School Minibus Drivers to start as soon as possible, to transport pupils in the morning and afternoon covering a range of bus routes which include Moretonhampstead, Exmouth, Ottery, Woodbury and Okehampton.
These are permanent, part-time roles, working 15-20 hours per week, Monday – Friday during school term time (core hours 7.00am to 8.30am and 5.00pm to 6.30pm). Due to the hours worked, we would also be willing to recruit drivers for just the morning or afternoon times - job share considered.
For insurance purposes, applicants must be aged 21 or over and either have D1 on their driving licence or attend a minibus driver training course (we will arrange this).
The roles will attract a rate of £10.50 per hour as well as a 1st year anniversary loyalty bonus of £1,000 together with generous benefits including a free school lunch during term time, free on-site parking, access to school sporting facilities, uniform and an 8% employer contribution to the school’s approved pension scheme.
Interviews will be held as suitable applications are received, so early application is highly recommended.
Applicants can either apply via TES or visit the school website to download our application form and view relevant recruitment documents: www.exeterschool.org.uk/about-exeter-school/vacancies (please note that CVs alone will not be considered). If you have any questions or need a posted application form, please contact Mrs Julie Furniss, HR Officer on 01392 307080 (select 1 for Bursary).
Exeter School is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from any appropriately qualified person. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Employment is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references provided specifically for this post and addressed to the school, and to satisfactory DBS clearance.
