School nurse

We are a secondary school in Sparkhill, Birmingham. Our mission is to provide a quality education that empowers all individuals to flourish and make a positive contribution to their community, culture and wider society.

Our vision for Ark Boulton Academy is simple: together we give each of our students the skills, personal qualities and qualifications they need to be successful at university and in the career of their choice; together we make them role models for future generations, helping them to fulfil their potential and raise aspirations; and that together we support our students to develop a lifelong love of learning, a sense of personal and civic pride and the confidence to not just navigate the modern world, but to shape it.

Our approach is summed up in the African proverb: “It takes a whole community to bring up a child”.

At Ark Boulton Academy we work together to ensure that each of our children can overcome barriers to learning, catch up where needed and achieve at the highest levels by working harder, behaving better and making faster progress than children in other schools.

We're also proud to offer a great environment for staff, where we help every member of staff to be their best through a supportive environment and excellent professional development.

Curriculum

We have a broad, academic curriculum, emphasising the importance of intellectual study and focusing on traditional learning. We believe that this is the best way to equip our students for university, and/or the professions and careers they eventually choose. In an ever-competitive global community we have provided an academic curriculum that gives our students the best possible chance to succeed whilst ensuring that they have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and express themselves through expressive arts. The three main elements in the curriculum to address pupils’ are academic, personal and social development.
