The school has a strong family atmosphere and prepares pupils exceptionally well for schools of their choice at age 11+.

About you

Success in a role like this requires a service orientated person, willing to listen and help in a constant interrupt culture! The School Office is open to children, staff and parents and requires a person who can react appropriately when necessary and also be able to focus on proactive tasks to ensure the job gets done. An understanding of Safeguarding, Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 and Prevent will be an advantage, although full training will be given. Successful completion will be essential.

You will work in partnership with the Head of School's PA and will receive full support to enable you to operate independently when necessary. If you thrive in a busy environment, where no two days are the same then this could be the challenge you need.

About the role

A full job description is included in the Additional Information attached. As a small school there is a broad range of tasks which require a strong foundation of numeracy and literacy. The OVS school day starts at 7.30am with a Breakfast Club and ends at 6pm to allow working parents to collect children after they have finished work. The successful candidate will need to be able to work until 6pm each day of term to support wrap around care. In consideration of this, the start time can be flexible, up until 9.30am. At the heart of school life, this is not a part time appointment and will require someone committed to a 40 hour week.
