Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Science teacher to join our existing, high-performing and passionate team.  We are committed to ensuring all students continue to achieve beyond their potential, along with having the opportunity to engage with new ideas and exploring what interests them. Classroom Teachers - Expectations of all Academy staff:

  • Teach across the age range of KS3 and KS4 to all abilities
  • Ensure teaching and learning in the classroom maximises the potential of all students
  • Be accountable for the progress of pupils taught as a subject teacher.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of an innovative and engaging Science curriculum
  • Be dedicated to personal continued professional development
  • Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Leeds West is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-16 secondary in the city’s district of Bramley. The school is a member of the White Rose Academies Trust. There are currently approximately 1,300 students on the school roll. The school is located near Summerfield Primary School and Stanningley Park. The school offers an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities from martial arts to chess. The school is also sponsored by Leeds City College.
