Experience of teaching across Key Stage Three and Four is essential. The department is dynamic and forward thinking, and eager to see pupils succeed. The post would be ideal for someone who has had a successful first few years in education and is looking to take on more responsibility in a new school. We need an inspiring teacher and an imaginative leader who can nurture colleagues to exceed their own expectations.
You will have a passion for Mathematics and for education. You will be committed to improving life chances for young people, as well as to your own professional development. You will have a clear vision of how to bring Mathematics alive in the classroom, and how to communicate a love of Numeracy to the whole school. For the right candidate, there will be opportunity to take ownership of Numeracy across the Curriculum. You will be well supported by the Senior Leadership Team who are focused on teaching and learning, and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure your individual needs are met. About Lostock High School
Lostock College is a mixed, secondary modern, Christian secondary school without sixth form situated in Stretford, Manchester. It is a community state school, operating under the Diocese of Manchester in an area with a large amount of selective grammar schools. Affiliated to two teaching alliances, the school works closely with Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Loreto Grammar School. A smaller than average-sized secondary, it will provide 740 places for students aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.
