Values and Vision
Lostock College prides itself on its inclusive and supportive Christian ethos. The school believes in an “inspire – transform – succeed” model to help its students aim high. Its focus is on the individual, and its strong pastoral structure supports a curriculum that allows each students to achieve their best.
As well as academic achievement, the school stresses the importance of spiritual and moral values, including honesty, integrity, tolerance and mutual respect. A friendly atmosphere is encouraged by the SHARP system, a website where students can report bullying, hate crime or other issues they are facing at the school.
“Procedures to keep students safe are outstanding; students feel extremely safe, well cared for and valued. Students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted exceptionally well. The nurturing environment, together with the drive to raise achievement, supports students to make good academic progress and excellent gains in their personal development.”
