We require a SENDCO to work as part of our team to support our students in accessing all aspects of the curriculum. Responsible for the Strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy, with the aim of raising all SEN pupil achievement. 


The role holder will coordinate all Annual Reviews and reviews of Individual Education Plans and attend / chair reviews. Cleeve Park School is committed to ensuring that all employees have access to Continuing Professional Development, to ensure the maintenance and development of their professional skills. 


Applications are welcomed from qualified SENDCOs but also from those with SEN experience and a commitment to embarking on the SENDCO qualification within one year of appointment. Essential Commitment to starting SENDCO qualification within 1 year of appointment if not already qualified. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships and effectively support and advise colleagues Awareness of child protection issues Proven SENDCO experience in the UK, or equivalent Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills Flexible and solution focused approach Desirable SENDCO qualification
