We wish to appoint an exceptional teacher and leader to join our school as our new SENDCO. In addition to being a highly effective and experienced SENDCO or SEND Teacher, the successful candidate must share our ambition that there is no ceiling to what children can achieve. We have a no excuses culture here at Brampton Manor and believe that consistently good quality teaching and learning is the key to unlocking the potential in our young people.

 

We are looking to appoint a colleague that:

  • Has a proven track record of leading and managing a SEND/Inclusion department or working as a SEND teacher or a pastoral leader;
  • Has the ability to lead on all matters pertaining to SEND inclusion through an excellent knowledge & understanding of the National Curriculum, the SEN Code of Practice and other relevant legislation;
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents;
  • Is willing to lead by example, be a team player and go the extra mile for our students;
  • Is fully committed to the safeguarding of students;
  • Professional, enthusiastic, flexible and with an attention both to detail and the bigger picture.

 

Brampton Manor Academy is a massively oversubscribed 11-18 Academy converter school with nearly 3000 students on roll. We were rated outstanding in all categories by Ofsted in 2012 and 2018. Student achievement at all key stages is excellent and in 2022, our progress 8 score of +1.02 placed us in the top 1% of all schools in the country. All groups of students, including our disadvantaged and SEND students make outstanding progress.

About Brampton Manor Academy

Brampton Manor Academy is a highly successful 11-18 mixed school and we serve a rich and culturally diverse community in East Ham, close to London City Airport and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park situated in Stratford.

Ranked as one of the top schools in the country for pupil progress at both GCSE and A Level and rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in all categories in both 2012 and 2018, our students recently featured in the national media as a result of 51 of them securing conditional offers to study at Oxford or Cambridge. Brampton Manor converted to Academy status in April 2011 and formed a multi-academy trust called Brampton Manor Trust in 2013. In January 2014, Brampton Manor sponsored another local school, Langdon Academy (a 3-16 school), who joined our Trust in January 2014. There is strong collaborative working between our schools.
