Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an individual to lead the development of the Academy’s Special Educational Needs provision, working closely alongside the Principal and Senior Leadership Team. 

As SENCO you will work to raise educational achievement by coordinating and leading the provision for SEND pupils across school.

The successful individual will:

• Assist the Principal and Governors in leading the strategic development of SEND policy and provision.

• Support all staff in understanding the needs of pupils with SEND through training and dissemination of information.

• Line manage a team of teachers, LSAs and other support staff where applicable, including those holding TLR responsibilities within the department.

• Develop and monitor systems for keeping pupil records, and ensuring that these are kept up to date
