Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our pastoral team at Moorside High School to work with and support one of our Year 11 pupils with cerebral palsy. 

You will be responsible for supporting the pupil in personal, curriculum and educational based activities as directed by the with aspects of learning including the use of technological and communication aids. You will also liaise and work with parents/carers, SENDCO and outside agencies to ensure that the needs of the student are appropriately met by the school. 

The successful candidate should establish a supporting relationship with the pupil whilst also encouraging independence whenever possible.
