As Head Teacher I believe Moorside is a fantastic school and it is our job to ensure our pupils leave us ready to not only contribute but to shine in what is a very competitive and challenging world around us.

Values and vision
The motto of Moorside High School, developed with pupil input, is “Together we believe, achieve, succeed”. It describes itself as "a friendly, caring school with a family ethos". Students strive to be hardworking and determined, while staff focus on providing an enjoyable education in a nurturing environment.
“The proportion of students making more than expected progress is rising rapidly. Students’ progress through the school in English and mathematics is at least in line with the national average and sometimes above it. There is little difference in the achievement of different groups of students and where gaps exist, they are reducing.”
