The Manor Preparatory School, situated in the heart of Oxfordshire, is a renowned independent, co-educational, preparatory day school of around 380 pupils aged 2-11. The Manor has a wonderfully happy, creative atmosphere where each individual is challenged and cherished to reach their potential. Every child is encouraged to push themselves to new challenges, resulting in outstanding results academically, on the sports field and in creative and performing arts. 

The Manor is seeking to appoint a Speech and Language Therapist on a one year fixed term, part-time, term time only basis working 15 hours per week.  We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to begin at the end of January 2022. 

We are looking for an imaginative, intellectually rigorous approach to therapy planning and the ability to engage and motivate our students, to join our school as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.  The successful candidate will work closely with education staff, both inside and outside the classroom, providing therapy and assessments for a wide range of students.  

For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our students.  The majority of casework involves sound production, articulation difficulties and language delay.  A small component is social communication skills where the focus has been on the Social Thinking skills / framework.

The successful candidate will have post-qualification experience of at least two years, and a sound knowledge base in planning effective interventions.  Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.  Applicants with previous experience in a similar role are strongly encouraged to apply.
