Feversham Primary Academy is a very special learning environment that provides a happy, caring community where everyone is encouraged and supported to achieve their goals. Our children are keen to learn, are well behaved and want to achieve their best.

We are popular locally in our BD3 community and we are within commutable distance of Wakefield, Leeds and Keighley and close to the M1 and M62 motorways. Ofsted in September 2014 judged us to be ‘good’ in all areas across the school and we are well on our way to becoming an outstanding Academy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and passionate Sports Coach who will plan, prepare and deliver a co-ordinated programme of lessons to include games, dance, gymnastics, athletics and a host of other activities.

You will be working with a range of year groups and have the opportunity to develop and enrich Academy sport through extra-curricular activities. A nurturing, caring attitude is essential as you will be required to inspire trust and confidence in all our students and will engage and motivate them to achieve their potential. An interest or specialism in gymnastics, athletics, netball and dance would be desirable.

We actively welcome applications from graduates with a sports background looking to put their skills and experience to use in a primary school environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds at least a current Level 2 qualification in at least one of the following sports, and a Level 1 qualification in two of the others: netball, Football, multi-sports, gymnastics, cricket, rugby, basketball, athletic or tennis.
  • Experience of organising inter-school and inter-school competitions.
  • A passion for the value your subject can bring to students and a commitment to the ethos of the wider life of the Academy.

We offer:

  • A commitment to further developing you through access to the school network of our sponsor Academies Enterprise Trust.
  • Purposeful and ready to learn children who will make you proud to be a teaching professional
  • A school where pupils achieve rigorous academic and character standards with opportunities to excel socially, emotionally, culturally and spiritually
