Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Art to lead the Senior School Art/DT department from April 2020.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach Art and DT across the age range from Year 7 to Year 11.  

The School aspires to engender a love for a variety of creative endeavours to engage pupils.  This important post at our School carries considerable scope for working autonomously and the successful candidate will be willing to demonstrate initiative and a talented, insightful approach to the development of teaching Art and DT across KS3 and KS4.  There will also be an opportunity to teach some classes within the Prep School.

Art is a pivotal feature of our curriculum and a popular option at GCSE.  The department has consistently achieved strong academic success at GCSE and the post holder will be expected to build on this success.  

This role provides a first-rate opportunity to demonstrate your ability to make a measurable impact on the success of the School.  We would welcome applications from teachers with a proven track record of success or from those starting their career and looking for outstanding support and induction into the profession.

• Be able to teach Art and DT at KS3 - KS4;
