Oliver House School is an independent specialist day and residential School for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have autism and complex learning needs. The school’s aim is to bring about the best in every young person to enable them to achieve positive experiences and progress according to their own individual abilities. We are an innovative school that has high aspirations for the education of pupils with Autism.
We are looking for an experienced and creative teacher with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with children with Autism.We are looking for a Teacher who is committed to maximising pupil’s progress through setting high standards and by promoting effective teaching and learning.
We are looking for a teacher with vision, creativity and enthusiasm to continue the development of our School. You will be a strategic thinker who is able to motivate and inspire both staff and pupils and will be able to demonstrate clearly the ability to lead, support and challenge.

About Oliver House School
Oliver House School is a specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties. Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties and their lack of social understanding.
Oliver House School delivers the highest level of education and care according to individual need in a safe, positive and structured environment in which every pupil is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes.
Many of the pupils at Oliver House School may have been out of education for considerable periods of time which is why we make it our aim to encourage our pupils to be happy to attend school on a daily basis, with the help and support of our dedicated team of staff.
Placements can either be on a day, residential or respite basis for up to 52 weeks of the year depending on individual need. All of the young people referred to the school will have a Statement of Special Educational Need. Oliver House School can provide places for up to 40 pupils.
