About Oliver House School

Oliver House School is a specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties. Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their difficulties and their lack of social understanding.

Oliver House School delivers the highest level of education and care according to individual need in a safe, positive and structured environment in which every pupil is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes.

Many of the pupils at Oliver House School may have been out of education for considerable periods of time which is why we make it our aim to encourage our pupils to be happy to attend school on a daily basis, with the help and support of our dedicated team of staff.

Placements can either be on a day, residential or respite basis for up to 52 weeks of the year depending on individual need. All of the young people referred to the school will have a Statement of Special Educational Need. Oliver House School can provide places for up to 40 pupils.
