Job overview
The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Acting/Musical Theatre from January 2021 to cover maternity leave.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach UAL Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts (Acting and Musical Theatre pathways). Experienced staff are already in place and curriculum support will be available.
Experience in either a secondary school or a college environment is suitable and we welcome applications from newly qualified or experienced teachers who have the desire and ability to inspire all students to reach their full potential.
Extra-curricular activities form an important part of the area’s work and an ability to contribute to these would be welcome. This is a part-time role, worked over 2 days per week.

Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.
Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
