Teacher of Art - part-time (0.8) for 2 terms

Charters School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and motivated Part Time (0.8) Teacher of Art from January 2020, initially on a two-term contract. You will have a passion for the subject and be required to teach KS3. The successful candidate will be committed to promoting learning, have high expectations of all students’ achievement and will approach the job with enthusiasm. For a suitable candidate the role could develop into a Full Time Permanent Contract from September 2020 with the ability to teach both GCSE and A Level.

You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience. Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers are welcomed.  The school and department offer a comprehensive induction programme, excellent opportunities for promotion and the professional development of staff. 

Charters School is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Academy School with 1720 students on roll (including 375 in the Sixth Form) located in Sunningdale.  It has been graded an “outstanding” school on two successive occasions and is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education.

Charters School is a 11 – 18 mixed comprehensive school with over 1700 students with 390 in the Sixth Form.  We believe in a holistic approach to education providing excellent opportunities in and outside the traditional learning that inspires individuals in their academic and social development.

Our approach ensures that individuals are successful in their educational journey with us enabling individuals of all abilities to thrive and reach their personal goals, each year students take up places at Oxford and Cambridge as well as international universities and high-level apprenticeships in the local area and further afield.
