The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking teacher to join the highly successful and expanding Business Department. The successful applicant will be required to teach BTEC Level 3 and Level 2 Business. However, the ability to offer A Level Business would be an advantage.
The post is available from 1 September 2019 on a part-time basis (47.62%).
Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering the highest standards and achieving outstanding results. The post holder must be confident in the use of Information Technology in all aspects of their work.
The post would equally suit an experienced teacher or newly qualified teacher.
The Department is housed in the Business Centre. All classrooms are fully equipped with data projectors, white boards and PCs for all students. The department also has access to mobile learning technologies to further enhance learning.
The Department teaches in a collaborative style, with all staff contributing to central teaching resources. Students regularly progress onto university courses for Business, Accountancy, Marketing, Finance and Events Management. Students also progress to apprenticeships and sponsored degree programmes with national and international organisations including KPMG, Nestle and Fidelity.
The Department is the largest in the College with fifteen current members of teaching staff. The Department works closely as a team in a friendly and co-operative manner. Strong emphasis is given to mutual support by the exchange of ideas and materials.
The Department offers BTEC Level 3 Business (both one and two A Level equivalents), BTEC Level 2 Business and A Level Business.
The salary is up to £19,091.81 per annum (FTE £40,092 per annum).
