Teacher of Chemistry

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Chemistry from April or September 2018. The right candidate would join our thriving and very successful Science Faculty at one of the highest performing schools in Tamworth and North Warwickshire, working in collaboration with other members of the team to drive standards even higher in Science and its associated subjects.

Our Science Faculty is continuing its exciting journey to further enhance performance in the subject so that achievement and progress is significantly better than national and local figures.  Subsequently, we are seeking to appoint dynamic, innovative and ambitious teachers who can contribute to driving forward this vision.  Have you got the skills and motivation to be part of the team to make this happen?

Learning and teaching is a key focus at Kingsbury School and so we are looking to appoint teachers who can challenge our students to achieve their potential; for excellent practitioners we are also offering the opportunity for scholarships through the development of learning and teaching strategies on a whole school level.  Through our recent joining with the Castle Phoenix Academy Trust we are also able to offer significant professional development opportunities to successful candidates.  This can include CPD opportunities with our teaching school, leadership development opportunities, teaching development CPD for newly qualified candidates (ITP and OTP) and collaboration with our trust lead school, Caludon Castle.

Opportunities

Scholarships

We are introducing Scholarships for aspiring lead learning practitioners.  Up to £2000 scholarship bursary will be available over two years.  The Scholarship is to enable the preparation of inspirational resources, lead on aspects of intervention, sharing of good practice and development of a ‘leadership of learning’ challenge. There will also be a £1000 ‘golden ticket’ for training and development with the Castle Phoenix Teaching School Alliance and Leadership Academy.

Drivers

We also offer a number of 'Driver' roles each academic year.  These roles are temporary positions for driving forwards whole school priorities.

We are looking for a colleague who is positive, flexible and willing to contribute to the whole life of the school. Experienced teachers of two years or more are invited to apply.
