We are seeking to appoint a teacher of computing at Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach mathematics to at least Key Stage 3 would be an advantage. This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding newly qualified or experienced teacher to join a strong and successful team.

Computing is taught within The Mathematics Faculty at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE. There is good uptake in the subject at GCSE and all lessons are taught in specialist rooms.

Oathall is a mixed comprehensive secondary school for students aged between 11 and 16. We are situated on the boundaries of the town of Haywards Heath and the village of Lindfield in the heart of Mid-Sussex. The college opened in 1938 and has a full spectrum of specialist accommodation and facilities including well-equipped classrooms, a music centre, library, drama & dance studios, a fitness gym and a large sports hall. Outside we have large playing fields used for sport, a floodlit full-size 3G artificial turf pitch and a five acre farm. In 2022, we were told that Oathall was a confirmed project under the DFE school rebuilding progrmme. We anticipate the project will commence in around 2026-2027.
Our teaching and learning aim is simply to ensure the best possible progress and high attainment for every student. We offer a broad, balanced curriculum based on our knowledge of our students that challenges and motivates students to achieve their best. Academic and vocational success is complemented by an extensive extra curricular programme. Oathall prides itself on its excellent pastoral organisation and inclusion policy which is recognised as an example of best practice. Pastoral care is based around a year group structure. We also operate a traditional house system, consisting of four houses, Discovery, Endeavour, Pioneer and Voyager.
