As a forward-looking and innovative school we are seeking to appoint a highly skilled Product Design practitioner to join our Design Team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an NQT or experienced teacher to join our highly successful Design Department. An ability to teach across the full age and ability range up to A Level is desirable. We provide an excellent and comprehensive support and induction programme for NQTs.
Kingdown School is ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire situated in Warminster in the heart of beautiful rural Wiltshire with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. The Department
There are currently seven teachers in the Design Department, supported by a team of two teaching assistants and two technicians. Teaching and Learning Responsibilities (TLR’s) in the Design Department is as follows:
Our Department is housed in a covered quad with an ICT suite, 4 newly updated workshops and a textiles room, as well as office space. We also have a newly furnished Food & Nutrition kitchen and classroom. All full time design teachers in the Department have their own room in which they teach but we often have to move for ICT based lessons. We have good CAD facilities, including a Universal Laser Systems 60Watt Laser and 2 3D Printers.
