This post provides a unique opportunity to work within a high-performing and growing 11 to 18 school with a large sixth-form and exceptional students. With an intake of approximately 550 post-16 and 210 in next year’s Year 7, Heckmondwike Grammar School is a dynamic place to be. We are also expecting the significant addition of a new £1.1 million sixth form centre nearby, ready for September 2018.
We would like to appoint an outstanding teacher of Geography. Typical achievement in Geography is 66.7% at grades A*/A at GCSE. At A-level 51.7% attained grades at A*-B. The department is innovative, high-performing and extremely supportive. An ability to teach all examination classes and the willingness to offer both human and physical geography would be an advantage.
Consideration will be given to both experienced teachers and NQTs who wish to develop their teaching expertise in an outstanding school.
