Top Devon Academy seeks a Geography Teacher to start April or September 2018.

We are a successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school in Torbay with top ten status for comparable schools in the UK (2014 league tables).

Due to promotion, Brixham College is seeking a well-qualified and inspiring colleague to join our high performing, successful Geography team. We want the very best teachers who can consistently teach good or better lessons. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for Geography and demonstrate creative teaching with a strong classroom presence.

Geography is a high achieving and outward looking subject which is a very popular option at both Key Stages 4 & 5. Members of the team are totally committed to ensuring the best outcomes for our students. The dedicated team supplement classroom learning with opportunities for a range of visits both locally and beyond.

We are interested in applications from teachers who: will be able to raise levels of achievement within our highly successful Global Studies Faculty; have excellent knowledge of Geography at KS3, KS4 and KS5; have a commitment to teaching Geography to A Level; and have an interest in developing their career.

Candidates will also have the opportunity to apply for and fulfil the role of Assistant Faculty Leader of Global Studies (TLR2a £2,638) with responsibility for positive attitudes to learning.
