TEACHER OF HISTORY
(or HISTORY & POLITICS)
Starting Autumn Term 2018
St Paul’s is a selective Independent Day School for boys aged 13-18, occupying a superb 45-acre site on the south bank of the Thames, west of Hammersmith Bridge. St Paul’s School excels academically at both A level and GCSE, with some of the highest national scores, but it is the work beyond the curriculum that excites both students and teachers alike.
We are seeking an outstanding teacher of History, or teacher of History and Politics, capable of teaching GCSE, Pre-U and up to Oxbridge level. It is expected that candidates will have a strong academic background and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School. This is a fixed-term post offered on a one-year basis, which will be reviewed given future changes in requirements. Applications are equally welcome from those with experience of teaching and those without.
The School’s salary scale is substantially above the national scale and a subsidised accommodation scheme is available to eligible staff.
Further details and an application form can be obtained from the School’s website: www.stpaulsschool.org.uk via the ‘Vacancies’ link in the footer, or by email from the High Master’s PA on firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for all applications is midday on 22 March 2018.
Interviews will take place on 28 March 2018.
St Paul’s School and St Paul’s Juniors are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employer and the Disclosure and Barring Service. St Paul’s School and St Paul’s Juniors are an equal opportunities employer.
