The department for Individuals and Societies is looking to recruit an innovative and creative teacher for IB Diploma Economics with Integrated Humanities. We ideally require someone with prior experience at standard and higher level, with a track history of outstanding results. Being able to offer IB Business and Management would be a desirable addition. The key attributes are an inspirational teacher, with an open mind towards contributing to an integrated and interdisciplinary curriculum approach and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The successful candidate should be able to use technology to enhance the learning experience and be child centred in their approach. A commitment to differentiation, assessment for learning and higher order thinking and questioning is key. We are seeking an enthusiastic subject specialist who is able to make connections with the real world, inspire our students and differentiate to meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will have confidence in the use and implementation of virtual learning platforms to inform students of progress, set targets and maintain close, regular contact with parents/guardians.
