Your future learning environment was opened in 1993 as Guru Nanak Sikh College at the request of the community by our founder Sant Baba Amar Singh Ji.  His vision is that through education we can eradicate poverty and ignorance.  The Academy is dedicated to educating and supporting students and staff to better their outcomes and continue lifelong learning by  "providing an outstanding learning environment which challenges us all, staff and pupils, to achieve our full potential and to share our successes, knowledge and skills with the local, national and global community". The Academy is an oversubscribed all through Academy in Hayes, Hillingdon.  It currently has 6 forms of entry in the Secondary Phase with a Sixth Form and 2 forms of entry in the Primary Phase.  Due to the growing needs of the curriculum, we are looking for a Teacher of Mathematics for September 2021.

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic classroom practitioner to join a diverse mix of teachers and associate staff, within a supportive and well-resourced Maths department.

Mathematics is a popular subject throughout the Academy, including in the Sixth Form where we offer both Maths and Further Maths at A Level. This is an exciting opportunity for an NQT to establish themselves as a teacher, or an experienced teacher looking to further their practice.

Maths results at GNSA have historically been outstanding, year on year, with a Progress 8 score of 1.13 in the last academic year, where 46% of our students achieved Grades 7 -9 and at A level, 45% of students achieved an A-A*, with an ALPS score of 2.

The successful candidate must be committed to enhancing the classroom experience of all students so that every student becomes a confident and capable mathematician.
