The Governors of this successful Catholic 11-16 High School wish to appoint an enthusiastic Maths teacher to cover the maternity leave of a current member of staff.

Essential: Has QTS. Degree or Equivalent / Appropriate Maths qualification. Excellent classroom practitioner with potential to be `outstanding'. At ease with Christian ethos of the school. Able to motivate and inspire pupils. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a team of colleagues. Awareness of recent developments in science/maths education. Ability to plan effectively for a variety of learning styles and abilities. Ability to identify and use assessment information effectively to plan next steps in pupils learning.

Desirable: Commitment to further professional development. Competent in the use of ICT for learning, teaching and administration.

Brownedge St Mary's Catholic High School is a mixed, Roman Catholic voluntary aided state secondary school for pupils aged 11-16.
