Kingdown School is a forward-looking and innovative school and we are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and inspirational Teacher of Maths to join our large, friendly and dynamic team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an NQT or experienced, QTS qualified, teacher to join our highly successful Maths Department. An ability to teach across the full age and ability range up to A Level is desirable.
Kingdown School is ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire situated in Warminster in the heart of beautiful rural Wiltshire with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. Kingdown School is an academy under the Acorn Education Trust providing exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on the collective experience of a Trust.
The Maths department is an area of strength at Kingdown, having delivered consistently strong outcomes over a number of years. There is an ongoing focus on further developing the quality of teaching and learning, access to a wealth of shared resources, and a collective team spirit which is infectious! Maths is a popular A Level choice for students within the Sixth Form.
The Maths Department is housed together in one area of the school, including one block of four state of the art maths classrooms. All full time Maths teachers in the Department have their own teaching room. We have good facilities and an excellent variety of resources, including your own computer and interactive smart board, and access to a maths faculty working area.
