Job overview
We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic person to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be a committed, inspirational and dynamic individual with a passion for teaching. This role will primarily involve teaching on the Level 3 UAL Music Performance and Production course and contributing to the Level 3 UAL Performing and Production Arts as a vocal coach. Music students perform regularly in local arts venues and a desire to work practically to support the curriculum is essential.
Music is part of our highly successful Faculty for Performing and Visual Arts. The college offers a wide range of courses in this area including: A Levels in Drama, Photography, Graphics Textiles and Fine Art; Ctec Level 3 Art and Design; UAL Level 3 Music Performance and Production and Performing and Production Arts: Acting and Musical Theatre pathways. The faculty has dedicated teaching spaces including a Music Suite with Apple Macs running Logic software, five live performance and practice rooms and two recording studios.
Hours: 0.2 - 0.4 FTE

Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.
Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
