TEACHER OF MUSIC
Required April or September 2018
Stanborough School is a Good school and we wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Music to join our successful and expanding department where Music is taught up to ‘A’ level and includes Music Technology at ‘A’ level. The department is well resourced with an IT suite, recording studio and a suite of practice rooms. The music provision in the school is outstanding with a large number of students participating in a wide range of extra- curricular music activities, both in and out of school time.
A large number of music concerts are performed during the year. It would be expected that the successful candidate would contribute to a substantial amount of extra-curricular music offered by the school. The ability to play the piano/another instrument (Grade 7+ or at an equivalent standard) would be an advantage, as would knowledge of sequencing software such as Cubase.
This post would equally suit an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher for whom excellent induction and support is provided. If you are in training we offer the opportunity for a July start.
For an informal discussion about the post or to arrange a visit prior to application please contact Tim Braybrook, Deputy Headteacher – firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications are invited by application form on the TES website or a Stanborough application form. Further information and application forms are available on our website: www.stanborough.herts.sch.uk
