Salary range: MPS/UPS

We require an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher of Physical Education to join our department with practical specialisms in trampolining and netball as well as capability to teach KS4 and KS5 theory courses.

The trust strongly believes continuing professional development is at the heart of excellent teaching and high standards and has an outstanding programme open to all members of staff, offering tailored CPD to staff at all stages of their careers.

Downham Market Academy has recently joined the high achieving Eastern Learning Alliance.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work in this high achieving and ambitious trust.

We are looking to appoint a passionate and inspiring teacher who will help build the success of the PE Department at Downham Market. As the trust continues to grow there will be opportunities to take on key roles within the trust with a possibility for a TLR for the right candidate.

There will be an opportunity to teach across a range of sports in Core PE at KS3 and KS4 and examination groups in KS4 and KS5

A specialism in Netball or trampolining would be advantageous but not essential.

About Downham Market

  • Downham Market is a market town set in beautiful Norfolk, with excellent fast train links to the cultural centres of both Cambridge (33 minutes) and London (1 hour 27 minutes).
